Gie her a Haggis!

To most of us haggis is seen as a beloved national dish. That, and being synonymous with Burns Supper ever since Rabbie Burns penned his immortal 'Address To A Haggis'.

It is that time of year again where we address our beloved national dish as a way of honouring and celebrating the life of Robert Burns, who is arguably the most famous Scottish person. On the 25th of January we hope you have a wonderful Burns Supper.

Everything you might need for your Burns Celebrations can be found here at Mitchells Dairy! We stock haggis from Scotts of Huntly, Presley & Co Butchers, Oldmeldrum and Macsweens of Edinburgh and we are proud to say that our neeps and tatties are locally grown.

If you are planning a feast for many at your Burns Celebrations and you are need of a bigger haggis you can phone in or place orders at the deli counter.

Mitchells Crannachan ice cream is the perfect Burns Night pudding and its made with locally grown raspberries, oats and of course Mitchells milk and cream!

The Dairy also has a fantastic range of shortbreads and whiskies in stock to complete your Traditional Scottish meal!

Top cooking Tip!
Tatties and neeps are best mashed with butter, seasoning and a generous splash of Mitchells cream.

What are you doing this Burns Night? What is your favourite way to enjoy Haggis? Do you have any Haggis recipe/cooking tips to share with us? We would love for you to share your stories with us on our Facebook page or why not send us a tweet to our Twitter page?

Auld Scotland wants nae skinking ware
That jaups in luggies:
