Mooriel's Wedding Competition

Mitchells beautiful cow Mooriel has been invited to attend a wedding on the 9th July at Meldrum House Hotel.

Mooriel is excited to be going to her first wedding and can't wait to wish the bride and groom every happiness in their future together.

Given Mooriel's unusual guest appearance at the wedding we were wondering if any of you in our community had any unusual wedding stories that you would like to share with us. Tell us your funniest or most unusual story from a wedding you have attended and you could be in the running to win a gift-box of goodies from Mitchells.

Emma passes Food Hygiene Exam...

Congratulations to our very own Catering Assistant, Emma Smith for passing her Intermediate Food Hygiene Award.

We are so proud of Emma's achievement and the award is well earned after all her hard work and effort in preparing and studying for the exam. We hope you have recovered Emma, after the interview that was involved in the exam process along with the 2 hour written exam. Mitchells have already been awarded the 'Food Safe' standard and Emma's qualification is a welcomed addition to Mitchells' success.

Help someone win dinner for 8 people...

At the recent Taste of Grampian event we launched our "Dine on US" Competition where we asked people to submit their ideal menu for a meal using produce you can buy in Mitchells Dairy; it's time for you to decide who should win the dinner for 8 people.

We've posted the best 8 suggestions on our Facebook Page and we want you to vote for the meal you like best so, if you know one of the finalists you could be one of the lucky 7 people they invite to their meal - if they win!!!

To cast your vote, go to the Facebook Page and look for the post on Monday 20th June where each menu is posted as a comment and simply "Like" the one you think should win.

Help Judy to "Walk the Walk"

Judy Whyte is doing the 6th Edinburgh MoonWalk on the 11th June 2011.  For those of you who don't know about the MoonWalk, it's when lots of women (and a few men!) get together at Inerlieth Park to walk at night in theri bras!!!

Here's what the MoonWalk web site has to say about the event:

"How spectacular can it be… a chance to get honed, toned and that little bit fitter… raise lots of money for vital breast cancer causes in Scotland…and be part of an amazing night all because you can... can… can! Well in case you didn’t guess, the theme of the 6th MoonWalk Edinburgh is Scotland's own ‘Moulin Rouge’ in honour of our wonderful pink tent so get ready for a special night of splendour with infectious energy, camaraderie and fun as you join over 10,000 women and men coming together to take on the famous ‘MoonWalk’, a marathon (26.2 mile) and half marathon (13.1 mile) challenge through the night.


Raise money, Raise awareness ,Get fit and Have FUN… join the MoonWalk Edinburgh now and help us to continue making a difference where it really counts!"

Next time you are in Inverurie pop into “The Dairy” for some Mitchells oatcakes, hand baked on the premises to a family recipe passed down the generations.

We’ve got a great range of cheese, chutney and Aberdeenshire honey to compliment them. We think locally produced cheese from The Devenick Dairy and Cambus O’May taste great with our oatcakes.
